SATURDAY NIGHTS WITH SPARKS

Tales of a Lagos banker
I have always said that the God i serve will never put me to shame.....this is how i would have used my hands to sack myself..Lemme just give you the full gist..
So...it's a saturday afternoon, hubby and i are on our way to see a movie...along ijesha road, this big jeep infront of us is just crawling...we were rushing so we don't miss our movie ooo
Unknown to us that the driver of this car was going to take a left, but since he didn't use his signal lights, we couldn't tell...we were just gumming him bumper to bumper...that's how you drive in Lagos..
Lo and behold, the car turned left...ah ah!! Oya enter the other lane na....no way..we were now stuck behind him because we were too close.
I have finished raising my hands to do "waka" when i saw the person in the car was my most senior Oga at the office. Infact, the waka was already in place. My grace was that the man wasn't looking in our direction.
That is how the spaces between my finger reduced and i started waving. Hubby that was fuming started blaring his horn...
Naso waka and angry faces turned to waves and smiles....and our Oga was so happy to see us..
See ehh..Lagos drivers will turn you to a mad person. In Calabar, the only exchange i would have with the driver is my destination and change....here...i have learnt all the gestures, waka!!
 your brain is paining you
 ...amongst others!!
..i can't ruin my good girl manners
When i resumed newly at the Head Office...i came with my "branch" bubbly and lively self.
When i step into the elevator, i would say a loud hello...or say goodmorning...and 4 out of 5 times, nobody would answer.
When i get to my office, i would say goodmorning and people would be silent...
I thought it was strange..because at the branches, we would hug and gist, at a point i felt maybe i was still new....when i was tired of being polite..i stopped.
I stopped saying hello when i stepped into the lift, i stopped saying goodmorning or goodbyes at the office...
With time i realised it's not me...I came to realise that i should not allow circumstances...or where i find myself influence me negatively.

 Moral lesson
 - Do not be overcome by evil....but overcome evil with good.
Be good...be true to yourself...and most importantly...ALWAYS BE YOU!!
