Its 31^st,

Oh my! I completely forgot,

20 missed calls, 10 text messages,

All from ‘sheriff’ himself, saying he needs my poem,

Shegzsablezs blog’s last supper,

How did I get myself into this?

Its 1:19am and am still awake,

Heavy eyes, lazy bones,

Outstretched arms on my laptop,

Still no word, so I hope and pray,

Shegzsablezs readers forget,

Forget about August’s edition of the Last Supper,

Now I am going to bed hoping September holds great poems.
