How long you would need to save to buy an apartment in the world’s biggest cities

Just out of curiosity, we here at Bright Side, decided to figure out how many years people living in different countries would have to work to save enough money for buying an apartment in their city. Keep in mind that this is a purely hypothetical situation. For the purpose of this small study, we are assuming that people set aside all their earnings for an apartment.

The figures below represent net average monthly wages (after taxes) and the prices stated here are average prices for buying a 50-square-meter apartment outside the city centre.
