INSIGHTS ON LIFE

Are All Things Possible?

Religious people often declare that “with God nothing is impossible”. This is true, considering the might of God. But in all cases they declare this phrase in hope that the power of God would meet a material need, bring onto them financial increase, or heal a sick part of their body. Their conviction of ‘possibilities with God’ doesn’t go beyond these realm of self. And I speak mainly to brethren of the Black Race.
The declaration of “all things being possible with God” doesn’t really stand your test of faith. You speak of how things are possible with God so that in some way you may flatter God to shower grace on you and manifest your needs which to you look impossible to attain, and which to someone else is just a walk in the park. When you do not have any pressing personal need to seek God’s impossibility-shattering intervention, to what situation do you then seek it? That is the level where religious people refuse to thread because their conviction that “with God nothing is impossible” is only mouth talk. Hypocritical!
Look around you! The condition of the people seek advancement. We need new and improved ways of living. New inventions that are native to us. New innovations. New creations. New things. Things that never existed. Things improved upon things that exist. Things that are impossible to attain. Yet we don’t call on our faith to achieve these. We don’t pronounce the “impossibility-shattering” power of God to help us manifest awesome creations that can advance our condition. You know why? Because believers are lazy! They are not fully convinced of the God they serve; they don’t even know the God they serve. They don’t have knowledge!

Society is filled with believers who are so-called graduates in this discipline or that, yet none can sit down and bring something out of nothing. Consumers! Wasters! Revelers! They live in a field of awesome creative powers and all go about being popular for doing nothing, giving myriads of excuses on why they can’t use their brains. And yet they chorus the “with God nothing is impossible” phrase like a lullaby that numbs them to sleep.
Is nothing impossible with God? Are you convinced? Can you stake your life and all you have to prove you are connected to a God who does the impossible? Then do so. Be so. Use the small knowledge you have and start the journey to creative explorations and productivity. If you have degrees in this or that disciplines and you can’t improve on such knowledge, then you never went to school!

Black people are spoken of hatefully for their consumerist tendencies because they don’t produce but only consume. Yet they are one of the highly religious group of people on the planet with a belief (maybe not with solid conviction) of God’s Power! We have to challenge our minds. We have to attempt the impossible. If we believe that nothing is impossible, let us be it, work it, and live it! Otherwise we’re just one huge mass of sorry ignoramuses.
