BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA
AT
THE POINT OF YOUR NEEDS.
Hi
dear friend. Today we are discussing some simple but profound practices on how
to cast our cares upon the Lord and live above worry. Furthermore, we will
touch on how God meets our needs independent of the world’s financial system as
His children.
Considering
the kind of palpable fear and concern for our livelihood in these times and post
COVID-19, it is important that you get armed with knowledge and truths that
will ensure that you remain as a tree planted by the rivers whose leaves do not
wither. Therefore, as you read through I urge you to keep an open heart and a
prayer upon your heart that God will deposit the seeds of his love, care, and
solutions into your heart on how to never experience lack. One thing you must
settle before reading further is that God is your source and He never runs dry.
Every other thing or relationship is a channel. Your job is a channel; your
business is a channel but God is your source. Channels may change but your
source has said: “I will never leave you
nor forsake you”.
Psalms
34:10 says “the young lions do lack and
suffer hunger, but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing”.
That word from God means exactly what it says. It is a loud promise and it is
resoundingly true as God’s throne stands.
If
you will enlist as one of those who seek the Lord, as someone who puts Him
front and center, be sure without an iota of doubt that you won’t go without
and you will have more than enough. God will see to it that as you put him
first, focusing your attention on Him, spending a quality part of your time
with him, the right ideas and insights needed for your work will begin to
spring up in your mind.
God
will meet your needs in two ways.
v By giving you wisdom on how to
work, and use your resources; no matter how little so that it has multiplying
effects. So God may not give you more money, but he will give you ideas to use
what you have to get more than enough of what you need. That’s wisdom. This
wisdom can come through books, podcasts, messages, or direct inspiration from
God.
v By giving you favor so that
people will look at you and do you good. Whether they are comfortable or happy
with you doesn’t matter, they will just support you and open the necessary doors
and give you what you need.
Now
that you know these two things (Wisdom/ideas and favor), you must expect them
from God as you, pray, work and obey what I will be sharing next.
The
most important thing you need to do in this season is to increase the time you
spend in God’s word. Praying, studying and worshipping God than ever before. A
lot of people are going to become negative and selfish in the days to come,
they will become very protective of their resources and seek ways to get more
out of the hands of others, but you must not fall for that system, you must not
conduct your affairs that way because your provision is not controlled by fear
but by Love Himself and He has more than enough to take care of you. One thing
you can be certain of as a child of God is that when the world is going right,
God definitely is on the left. Because if there’s a way that seems right unto a
man and the ends of it is death, then there is a way that may seem wrong to you
but ends in life.
There
are four things God expects you to do in this season so that you will stay connected
to a heavenly and miraculous flow of income and wellbeing.
Seek
God: To do this you need to be still and acknowledge God as your source and the
one who takes care of you. You demonstrate this by intentionally increasing the
time you spend with God, not just to ask for your daily bread but to study his
word and worship Him. David said in Psalm 16 “I have set the Lord before me
because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” He settled it once and for
all time that even though the world around him may be going agog in a frenzy,
he will be still in the presence of God in worship and study of the word. Read
Psalm 16.
Roll
your worries upon the Lord: No doubt you will be worried, these are uncertain
times in the whole world, but you, my friend is not supposed to suffer the
uncertainties. God is your refuge and strength a very present help in trouble
says psalm 46. Don’t meditate on the uncertainties in the world or around your
life. Don’t let uncertainties drive you, rather let God who is a dependable
solid rock be the foundation of your heart. Roll your worries upon the Lord
because he has a provision and solution for you in this season. Worry has a way
of blocking your inner eyes and inner ears from receiving wisdom and guidance
from God, therefore trust in God and know He has you covered.
Sow
seeds: Doing this is very counterintuitive but strategic. In this time when
everyone is trying to keep what they have, open up your heart to God and ask
Him for who you can sow into. Proverbs
11:24 says you can give yet increase but when you hoard out of fear of
self-preservation you will attract poverty. Prayerfully ask God to lead you to
people you can give to. And don’t think it will be to the poor and
less-privileged alone. God can lead you to sow into someone who has more than
you (a friend, or an elder) and this is because He wants to connect you to a
higher dimension of blessing. Abraham did that. Abraham sowed into Melchisedec
a king and Melchisedec in return pronounced an eternal blessing on Abraham. Therefore,
be open-minded to obey the Holy Spirit. Your sowing can be in the form of
rendering your service for free to them, you can choose to promote their
business the best way you can or just buy them a gift or send them money. It is
God’s system of sustaining you in famine.
Prayerfully
read and study trends to see products or services that God will drop or expand
in your mind as opportunities to explore. The face of the world has changed but
God already planned for your sustenance and much more your abundance so press
into God to discover the new pathway for you.
Keep
these things in mind and do them, you definitely will not lack in this season.
God is your source not your job, or your business or the nation. God is your
source all else are channels. The channels can change but your source never
fails. Develop absolute trust in Him and see Him come through.
Next
week I will be sharing more along these lines. To feed your faith in the
reality of Heaven’s economy.
Stay
blessed and enriched.
