SATURDAY NIGHTS WITH SPARKS

Act of Random Kindness

My branch services Bank-One customers who have recently benefited from BOI loan (Buy Our Indomie)...don’t mind me oooo...Bank Of Industry o jare.
So, market men/women are given NGN50, 000 to support their businesses...long story sha. But the bottom-line is...my branch is always crowded when they come.
I woke up that Monday morning and I was running late (the thing is) I actually woke up at 5:00am to joined in devotion and by 6:00am I was set, I just told myself..."sleep smaaaaall... you will wake up in time ….and sincerely...that’s sleep was sweeeet!!’’
You know that dream where you see salary alert from SBP and you are dancing "one corner" in the dream but only to wake up and realise its debit alert for SMS charges!!! Una dey try!! Only me NGN332 for alert...I will do USSD transfer... and get 10 alerts.
 1. The trf was successful.
 2. The transfer reach the other bank.
 3. The transfer knocked at the door of the other bank.
 4. The person's name was the same like you wanted.
Ah ah!! Only me!! I am watching una in 6D.
Back to my story jare!! I rushed out of the house and got to the junction, that's when I realised I was with only NGN500, I didn’t have change. The first taxi I hailed was a young man, I asked if he was going in my direction and he answered affirmatively. I told him of my change wahala ad he hesitated for a minute but told me to come in, noting that change would come.
True to his words, he was able to source for change. I was pleased at his kindness and thanked him repeatedly, I got work in time. Our Bank-One customers were already at the gate waiting for us to resume; most of them were there as early as 7:00am.
So, just a few minutes after 8:00am, the first set was ushered into the hall and who did I see? The cab driver!!! It didn’t quite register... I was looking at him and wondering why that face was familiar...before it clicked!! I quickly ushered him to the front (bite me!) and made sure he was attended to first..."one good turn surely deserves another"....
Few days after the incident, I crossed the road, hailed a cab aBd it was the same guy, this time, he gave me a lift for free!!!
Now, I don't want to emphasize on the perks of exhibiting kindness so that we don't act kind to people with the hope of getting something in return.
The taxi guy never imagined he would run into me at the bank but here I was his helper I said helper ooo not help meet!! My hands are clean biko.
Every day, please show an act of random kindness, smile, compliment that person, genuinely ask questions and we would make our work environment a healthier place.
