BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA

PART A

The love of God as the foundation for a confident living
Reference Texts: Isaiah 42:21 and II Corinthians 5:21

As you go on to clarify and pursue God's plans for you, there will be a lot of challenges, tests and moments of trials; from rejection, to disappointments, to shortage of resources, be it human resources or other forms. But if you start out, founded on God's reckless and boundless love for you, this will always be an anchor to your soul – God loves me and this is the basis for and of my life.

Isaiah 42:21: “The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness sake, he will magnify the Law and make it honorable”.

You may be quite familiar with that statement "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus"; this statement is rooted in our second text, II Cor. 5:21: “For Him that knew no sin was made sin for us that we may be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.

Now, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and what that means is that if God ever did a project as a human being (which is you), he dotted all the "I"s and crossed all the 'T's in you. God is incapable of errors and he is right when he fabricated you. Here is the take-home point – you can never be on God's blacklist as long as you acknowledge from your heart that you are His righteousness, He is well pleased with you.

God is well pleased for His righteousness, you are a HIS righteousness if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour from sin God is well pleased with you. So, for every hurting and seared conscience reading this, take it as a given, yesterday is gone, God is saying he is pleased for you. He will, on this basis, reveal and fulfill his plans for your life. You are HIS righteousness.

We will continue this conversation on Wednesday 3rd of April, till then stay in the love of God as the basis for a life of success. We will explore the role of the blood of Jesus in cleaning your conscience. God bless you!
