Disappointment (This Appointed Time) Grand Finale

Welcome To The Grand Finale of Disappointment, Please read the First, Second, Third Forth and Fifth Chapters here.

"I still can't believe Garuba would try to kill me after all these years" Tayo said.

"To be honest, I'm surprised" said Vanessa.

"That means, if you didn't leave me or I didn't have that accident, I would be dead by now" Tayo said.

"So it's true what people say" Vanessa said.

"And that is....?"  Tayo asked.

"That every disappointment is a blessing in disguise. I am not praising myself but...... ". Tayo hugged Vanessa before she could complete her statement.

"Tayo I know I hurt you so much but I'm sincerely sorry". Vanessa sobbed.

"It's alright, you saved my life though". Tayo said.

"But if you were at work, they wouldn't have been able to carry out their plan”. Vanessa said.

"I am on leave this week and my boss asked me to work from home" Tayo said.

"Oh I see" Vanessa tried to hide her face from Tayo.

"I believe you wanted to talk about something". Tayo said.

"I came here to explain why I took a decision that almost took your life. After everything that has happened, I have realized my mistake and I have come to explain things and apologize. But it's a miracle that such disappointment turned out to be a blessing. Tayo, I don't know how you will take this but I have to say it. I have cancer and the doctor said I have a few months to live. I didn't know how you will take it that's why I took a decision out of haste and I wanted you to move on because you deserve to be happy". Vanessa tried to hide her tears but she couldn't. She looked so helpless after giving Tayo an explanation for her decision. He pulled her closer and made her rest on his shoulders.

"It's okay, you won't die. Vanessa, I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always be here for you. I don't care what disease you have, I will love you till death do us part". Tayo said consoling her.

"I wanted you to move on without me. I didn't want to spoil things for you. You are a good person and you deserve to be happy". Vanessa said sobbing.

"It's okay, I'm here for you. Nothing can come between us. No matter what happens, I won't leave you. If you are dying, then we die together”. Tayo wiped her tears away. Vanessa was shocked at Tayo's reaction to what she told him. She was expecting him to flare up and get rid of her but he did the opposite. This made her glad.

"Thank you Tayo, for promising to stick with me despite all odds".  Vanessa said and gave Tayo a tight hug.

"And I'm happy your decision saved my life too". Tayo said smilling at Vanessa.

The End

Dear readers,

I want you to pay close attention to the moral lesson of this fictional piece and look beyond reading for pleasure or entertainment. Every disappointment is a blessing. Vanessa's decision turned out to be a blessing despite the fact that Tayo saw it as a disappointment from the onset.

Most times, when certain things happen to us, we blame God, ourselves or anyone involved. Rather than blame, we should be patient to allow things take a new turn. We should look beyond the situation and see it as a blessing rather than a disappointment. We should also make it important to explain the reason for taking any decision that might affect the other party. It is important to follow your heart when making any decision and pray for guidance. Do not be in a haste to retaliate or react when certain things happen. Be understanding and forgiving in all situations and in your relationship with anybody be it a friend, family or life partner. I hope you enjoyed this fictional piece.
