Disappointment (This Appointed Time) Chapter Two
WELCOME TO THE SECOND CHAPTER, PLEASE READ THE FIRST CHAPTER HERE
Tayo and Vanessa had different personalities. They didn't behave the same way neither did they like the same things. But this did not stop their relationship from growing. Their different personalities and mindset could blend into one so there was a high level of tolerance between them.
Tayo, a dark, tall and handsome young man. His life was all about perfection and responsibility. He was a good mentor, teacher and someone everyone looked up to. His nice, cheerful and loving attitude attracted a lot of people to him. Asides these wonderful traits, he was a very intelligent person, courageous and smart. Everyone who came across him in one way or the other always had something to learn and didn't regret it. Enough of Tayo.
Vanessa was a young and ambitious woman. She was hardworking, intelligent and smart. She never took her career for a joke. Her loving and cheerful attitude attracted many people to her. She was the definition of a perfect partner to Tayo. Vanessa, unlike Tayo always planned for the worse and hoped for the best. Whatever situation hit her in life, she was prepared for it at any cost and she always scaled through it. Tayo and Vanessa's different but great personality nurtured their relationship and created a perfect blend.
"What's wrong with you Vanessa?" Tayo tried to move close to her but she stepped back instead.
"You won't understand; I am sorry if what I'm about to say will hurt your feelings but it's for our own good." Vanessa tried to hold the tears back but she couldn't. She found herself crying again and she could only dry them with the back of her hand.
"Say it the way you like; I will understand" Tayo insisted.
"I have decided to move on with someone else. I don't think there is a future for both of us". Vanessa turned around so Tayo wouldn't get another glance of her.
"What are you saying Vanessa?" Tayo questioned her.
"You heard me right, I'm sorry but I had to do this. I hope you understand". Vanessa was about to leave when Tayo pulled her back.
"Tell me the truth, why are you doing this?" Tayo couldn't hold back the tears in his eyes. He looked into Vanessa's eyes and all he could see was hurt and betrayal. He didn't understand what was going on, all he knew was that he hadn't prepared for such betrayal.
"Leave me Tayo!!!! It's over already". Vanessa shouted so Tayo could let go of her. She entered her car and drove off. Tayo felt his life crumble before him. The woman he hoped to spend the rest of his life with just left him for another man.
"What did I do wrong? Where did I go wrong?" Tayo asked himself these questions. He was in so much pain and that was when he realized he hadn't prepared for the worse.
