BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA
Embracing Your Trueself
From time to time, there’s this struggle of embracing our true self (Romans 7:19) we rather shy away from it and hold onto what we are comfortable to identify with, (Romans 7 :16) even though our heart breaks. We see our true self and do not come to terms with it, but find solace in our pseudo-comfort-zone and not stretch out and accept ourselves but rather we meddle with stuff that are not true, not real, not you.
The question “WHO ARE YOU?”
what “you” have you neglected and embraced the status quo, as if you can’t change.
You are not stuck.
Don’t let your repeated failings blackmail you emotionally into learned helplessness.
Scriptures says, “God has chosen us before the foundation of the world”, contemporarily: before life happened to you, before you were brought up by your parents and molded by society, before you had a child out of wedlock, before you made the terrible mistakes, there was a perfect you, and that you still exist waiting for your embrace.
Who are you?
You are holy and without blame before God in love, embrace it.
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, embrace it.
You are clean and beautiful, embrace it.
You are everything good God can create in a human being, kindly just embrace it.
You are a new creature, anything not in Jesus is not in you, - tough eh, yeah right, embrace it.
You are the fullness of God’s love and goodness placed on earth for the benefit of others, embrace it.
You are okay, you are perfect you are good, embrace it.
This is the true you.
Embrace your true self and don’t settle for the sloppy, impatient, inconsistent, bitter, crazy, negative, moody, arrogant you.
You
are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, if you are saved.
