BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA

You have The Standby Helper
Have you ever been stressed out, in an emergency, on edge, frustrated and just clueless… man! It is a bad place to be. And life can be very demanding filled with ups and downs, but we have been told to hold on, not to give up, to be strong, but there comes a time where all we have, all our strength is finished and spent, we don’t know how to be strong anymore, though we still want to but we are tired and it is at this point God is standing-by as a very present help in time of need (Psalm 46).
Just like a drowning man can’t be saved until he’s weak and has given-up struggling to stay afloat and started sinking so also God’s strength doesn’t kick in until we are at the place where we surrender after we have struggled or we learn to acknowledge him early before we even do anything because we know we most certainly will fail without Him.

So today I want you to become aware of a Standby Helper that has your back, that kicks in when you are at the end of your strength, He is the comforter, He is the mighty Holy Spirit, He is a person and He is with you and inside you. When you come to a place where life has taken all you’ve got and you barely have any fight left in you, turn to him and say “Holy Spirit you are my Helper, my Standby, my Comforter I invite you now to help me, and help me listen to you and know when you are guiding me and giving me help” after this simple prayer don’t rush into anything but deliberately remain calm and approach things with a sense of stillness and calmness and listen to the thoughts that come to you, not necessarily voices but just thoughts and inspirations and peace that flows into you and you will be refreshed again and ready to go at life with fresh insights and thoughts.

You have a standby, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, the Holy Spirit is your helper, He is your standby power plant and generator, He is your true helper and He is a person though you can’t see Him and may not always feel Him, He is always there for you. Turn to Him today and ask for help.

And the best way to enjoy Him is to ask for His help before you start so that you don’t have to struggle and waste time and material.

The Holy Spirit is for you, with you and in you as standby, talk to him today and listen- that is important.

God bless you!
