A Young Man Shared Pictures of How They Caught a Beautiful Owl and Burnt It Because of Its Evil Act (According to Him)

He wrote:

‘I have heard much about owls and evil creatures, I have studied their nature and the bad features they represent but haven't seen any in reality until today. After church service I came across this Owl. I tried different means for it to move out and return to wherever it came from but it refused, I called the attention of people who came forth and said it’s an Evil owl and you barely see owl during the day unless it has an urgent agenda, we managed to catch it after several trials and we got it burnt.

No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper.’

Now, let's see some seven (7), well; beautiful, facts about owls before we start claiming they're evil. Yes, we all know right from the medieval times, they've been serving as a symbol of death since the time of ancient Egypt. But, let's consider these facts:

1. OWLS ARE NOCTURNAL. They only fly at night (just like bats). There are over 200 species of them, and just one or two of them can actually manage to fly day time. So, that's why when you wake up in the morning and find one at the corner of your house, they are actually stuck, because they can't see 'nada'. The one that they say they fly when they want to kill them, even as human, if you notice someone want to kill you and it's more of a dark place, won't you still try to run around?

2. OWLS CAN TURN THEIR HEADS ALMOST ALL THE WAY AROUND—BUT NOT Quite. It’s a myth that owls can rotate their heads 360 degrees. The birds can actually turn their necks 135 degrees in either direction, which gives them 270 degrees of total movement. According to scientists, bone adaptations, blood vessels with contractile reservoirs, and a supporting vascular network allow the owls to turn their heads that far without cutting off blood to the brain. So, it's false that they can turn their neck 360, of they could speak, they could have defended themselves all these thousands of years! (That's why it seems like they're evil birds that do mysterious things)

3. OWLS HAVE FAR-SIGHTED, TUBULAR EYES. Instead of spherical eyeballs, owls have "eye tubes" that go far back into their skulls—which means their eyes are fixed in place, so they have to turn their heads to see. The size of their eyes helps them see in the dark, and they're far-sighted, which allows them to spot prey from yards away. Up close, everything is blurry, and they depend on small, hair-like feathers on their beaks and feet to feel their food.

4. THEY HAVE SUPER-POWERED HEARING. Owls are capable of hearing prey under leaves, plants, dirt, and snow. Some owls have sets of ears at different heights on their heads, which lets them locate prey based on tiny differences in sound waves. Other owls have flat faces with special feathers that focus sound, essentially turning their faces into one big ear. (The “ear tufts” on some owls are feathers.)

5. OWLS FLIGHT IS ABSOLUTELY SILENT: Unlike most birds, owls make virtually no noise when they fly. They have special feathers that break turbulence into smaller currents, which reduces sound. Soft velvety down further muffles noise.

6. OWLS SWALLOW THEIR PREYS WHOLE, THEY SOMETIMES FEED ON EACH OTHER, AND WHEN THEY WANT TO FEED THEIR BABIES, THEY FEED THE STRONGEST ONES FIRST (THEY KNOW)

7. OWLS SOME TIMES MAKE TERRIFYING HISSING Sounds. Aside from hooting, owls make a variety of calls, from screeches to whistles to squeaks. The barn owl hisses when it feels threatened, which sounds like something from a nightmare. That's why they usually ascribe them to evil birds because of these noises and scary sounds they make. They are just talented to make different sounds. Why don't we ascribe evil to the hyenas, or the laughing jackals too based on their sounds? Well, maybe it's high time we started separating evil from nature. Another most bullied animal is the CAT. But that's a discussion for another day.

Happy Raining Days.
