Is 90s Fashion Making A Comeback?

And you thought you'd never use your combat boots again

Did you ever get that feeling that what you’re currently experiencing has already happened in the past? Did you ever get that feeling that what your currently experiencing has already happened in the past?

The 90s are back, and according to several designers who showed at New York Fashion Week recently, they don’t plan on going away any time soon. I, a youth of this decade, am down with embracing a bit of this arrested development.

While a couple of these looks might not necessarily be the most wearable, they certainly evoke the era. The award for kookiest 90s-inspired collection has to go to Jeremy Scott. Below is a two-piece look with a background of black and white 90’s psychedelic moiré, emblazoned with all too familiar symbols that were scribbled on all the notebooks in junior high; Ankhs, Anarchy, and Ying-Yangs.

Comme des Garçons nodded their heads to the 90s with over-sized plaid coats and sweaters one might have found at the local thrift shop in Seattle.

McQ by Alexander McQueen pulled from the decade with this all-over checkerboard print look.

It doesn’t get more 90s than this Saint Laurent model, whose look was clearly inspired by the late great Kurt Cobain.

Are you ready for the 90s…again?
