Life
Of all things in the
world, the word ‘Life’ looks super-easy to understand. I don’t know why it’s
like that but the easiest excuse I can give, for myself, is maybe because we’re
living in it. Maybe.
I ran through
different definitions of life some minutes ago; maybe some days, weeks, months
or even years ago by now, the end of it in one word is ‘Amazing’.
A definition of life
says,
‘The state that follows
birth, and precedes death.’
Another said,
‘The state of being
alive and living.’
Another,
‘The period during
which one is alive.’
Others;
‘The span of time during
which an object operates.’
‘The period of time
during which an object is recognizable.’
Biology says it is
‘A status given to
any entity including animals, plants, and microorganisms, having the properties
of replication and metabolism.’
A philosophy said it
is
‘The essence of the
manifestation and the foundation of the being.’
Phenomenology said it
is
‘The subjective and
inner manifestation of the individual.’
Another life
definition says it is
‘The world in
general.’
‘A worthwhile
existence’
‘The most worthwhile
component or participant’
‘A biography’
‘Something which is
inherently part of a person’s existence, such as a job, family, a loved one,
etc.’
Funny enough, another
definition said it is
‘A life sentence; a
term of imprisonment of a convict until his or her death.’
Another funny
definition says it is
‘The life one has
while playing games like Candy Crush, and the likes.’
Funny, isn’t it?
After writing all
these, my mind just kept asking me, “What is Life to you?”
It continued with, “What
does it even mean to you?”
These personal
questions didn’t stop ringing in my head, so, it left me thinking; ‘What is
life to me?’
Therefore, I took the
philosophical definition above;
Life is the essence
of the manifestation and the foundation of the being.
Looking through that
statement, I realized just a few enough words were conjoined to give a virtual
significance of life itself.
The essence of the
manifestation and the foundation of the being, meaning the reason an existent
thing has to exist. It says life has to do with the reason I and you exist at
all. It has to do with why you and I are living. It deals with why we are still
living. It says life has to do with why we were created in the first place. Why
the creator did give us life? Why we are brought into existence. Knowing all these
is what makes life being called life. It is the reason we can define life as
Life.
Therefore, what is
life to you? Why do you think you are still living? Do you even know the reason
for your existence at all?
Anyways, I found the
full meaning to the acronym, LIFE – Living
In Favorable Environment.
To live in favorable
environment is to have everything around you going smooth. More so, for that
being dwelling in your environment because you can’t live favorably if your
neighbor isn’t.
I hope you find the
real meaning of your life. I love my life, what about you?
