POEMS WITH RUKENNY

LET ME LOVE YOU

The first time I kissed you
The stimulus left you shocked
And whenever I touched you
It left your eyes in tears
You have never felt loved
Not for once
All you've ever known is pain
Peppered with resentment
For something I couldn't explain
Nor could I fathom.

That share,
Shut the door of your heart
Everyone became a stranger
That is not welcome into its abode.
I can only imagine
What you might have been through
The height of pain inflicted on you
And the countless times you've pushed love away
But I'm here to change all of that
If only you'll let me into your heart.

Let me love you
Let me be your gentleman
To rewrite your pains
And make you smile again
Let me show you what it means to be loved
And you'll find home in my love.
I am no player
To play soccer with your heart
And dribble you with lies
I am here to love you for real.

Let me be the man you want
Never to inflict hurt
I'll love you more than life itself
That's how special you are
Wouldn't you let me in?
I'm at the door of your heart
Waiting,
Knocking,
And I won't stop until you open up
And let me in.
