BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA
Flexibility
In Plans And Walking In The Miraculous.
Kindly follow through on
this thought.
It is worthy of note that
at the beginning of the conversation that led to the Miracle (1st Miracle John
Chapter 2); that Jesus did and manifested His glory and His fame went abroad,
Jesus felt it wasn’t time yet for Him to do anything.
Knowing the routine of Jesus,
He must have got up early that morning to pray and commune with the father and
the Father didn’t mention to Him that He was going to work a miracle that day
that will manifest His glory, so Jesus must have attended the wedding at Cana
not with the intention of working miracles.
So when His mother asked
Him to do something about the finished wine, Jesus had no such thing on His
to-do list, he simply replied (contemporary) “excuse me, ma’am, what’s my business with that, it’s not yet time”,
However, Jesus did a miracle and salvaged the wedding.
Now, this is the point,
Jesus said “I can of myself do nothing…
the Father in me, He doeth the works” John 5:19&30, John 14:10 so for
Jesus to have performed the miracle of the wine He must have heard from the
Father in that _instant_ not a prior knowledge, but just after He tried fending
off his mother, He must have been impressed by the Father saying “It’s time, tell them to fill six pots with
water”
Jesus was open to the
leading of the Holy Spirit; He wasn’t set in His ways.
God’s instructions are timely;
they will come at times without prior notice. Just because we prayed
extensively in the Holy Ghost in the morning doesn’t mean we have picked up all
God has to do for the day, we should be open and ready to receive from the
Father at any time and do what He leads us to do.
The fact that it’s not on
your to-do list doesn’t mean it’s not on God’s. The fact that it is not yet
revealed doesn’t mean it is not the next thing to do.
Peace.
Have a Spirit-filled and
led day.
