THURSDAYS WITH COLLYBRIGHT

BATTLE OF THE SHARKS

In 2001, a Florida man wrestled a 7-feet bull shark to save his eight-year-old nephew just offshore of their sleepy beach town. The shark had managed to get the nephew's arm but he was rescued by his uncle. His uncle then returned to fight the bull shark and got it back to shore, where a ranger shot the shark three times in the head killing it. The arm was successfully removed from inside the shark's gullet and put on ice. They rushed to the hospital and the boy's arm was successfully reattached.
