BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA

Converting the soul part 2. The Human/ offense factor to becoming a better person.

Welcome back. Please follow the link to read the first episode on this interesting topic.

Here’s the beginning: God is the originator of this process. And here’s how He starts, Irritations and offenses.

As you live daily and certain people or things begin to get you exasperated and then you react and then you feel imperfect with the way you responded, that is God trying to get your attention saying “there’s something we need to work on”

So, when you get upset about somethings, just flag them, the process has started and don’t run from it, just chill and get ready to be a better person, i.e. anything at all or anyone at all, that upsets you and brings out an unpleasant part of you is an organization by God to work on you. It is sordid at the start but it ends in glory.

James 1:2 says, brethren count it all joy, when you fall in diverse temptation, knowing this that the trial of your faith works patience, and let patience have her perfect work that you may be thorough, entire and wanting nothing.

One bible example is our beloved Brother Paul the Apostle.

God allowed a messenger of Satan to buffet Paul, work him up, upset Him, piss him off, and he couldn’t do a thing about it because Paul had prideful tendencies. He prayed and God said “I’m not taking this person away I’ll give you grace to a point that you grow beyond this pressure”.

Keep this in mind; From time to time when God wants to correct something in you some offense by a person or group will surface, just know it’s a new season, the conversion process will always involve some offense from someone or some people.

Embrace it, internally and submit yourself to the hand of God, Hebrews 12 is a good chapter to study on this subject.

Now you may not submit yourself to abuse by humans who may be sent by Satan. But know this, God is using them for you, so stay strong, keep your form before men, but bow to God. And the key to a perfect conversion process is this: After the people have done all the stuff, after the person has pissed the living daylight out of you, after you may have reacted wrongly, you must stay in love.

Because for every character reform we go through, there’s always a promotion, that is the way of the kingdom. The calmer and more broken and changed we get the higher we rise.

God promotes us as we have parts of our souls converted per season.

3 John:2, I wish above all things that thou mightiest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers.

Prosperity and increase are tied to the conversion of our souls per seasons of our lives. Four things.

God is the originator of this process, don’t fight him or bear grudge against men.

He will use humans and things to upset you, that he can get your attention.

Keep your form before humans, and bow to God on the inside.

Deliberately walk in love towards the folks God is permitting to upset. Love doesn’t mean being emotional, it means repaying with goodness every evil gesture of anyone against you whether from close distance or long distance, the major thing is to pray for them and use every opportunity to do them good.

If, we will endeavor to apply the principles of faith that we learn, to our character reformation like we do on projects, healing of our bodies, finances, career etc. we’ll get same kind of testimonies like we do in those other spheres of living.

These reforms take time, but if we will keep our confessions of God’s word, put scriptures on our lips that speak to those areas of our lives and we’ll worship God and dance like we do about jobs, babies, marriage we will have testimonies too.

For instance, I used to be very selfish but now, I can give anything away. I used to be very uncomfortably extroverted but now, I’m just balanced and impressed about how much Jesus has done in me. Open your heart, you are not stuck with your flaws, God is on stand-by to work with you, He is never weary.
